  • Acquire D Erik Gudbranson from in exchange for F Tanner Pearson
    • Analysis: A move the Pens had to make as they might have three top d men out for an extended period of time.
  • Acquire D Michael Del Zotto from in exchange for a 6th round pick
    • Analysis: Depth add at d for St Louis, who are now in the contender conversation.  Insurance for a playoff run for a minimal cost…nice addition.
  • Acquire F Marcus Johannson from in exchange for 2019 2nd round pick and 2020 4th round pick.
    • Analysis: Decent haul by the Devils for a player who has been inconsistent and injury prone.  Bruins get a forward that is highly effective when he is in the lineup.
  • Acquire F Wayne Simmons from in exchange for F Ryan Hartman and a 2020 4th round draft pick that turns into a 3rd should Nashville win a playoff round.
    • Analysis: Simmons add some sandpaper and greater scoring touch to a very deep Nashville team.  Ryan Hartman plays a Flyers type game, living right on the edge.  He will be a fan favorite immediately in Philly.
  • Acquire F Mark Stone from in exchange for D Erik Brannstrom, F Oscar Lindberg and a 2020 2nd round pick.
    • Analysis: This is less than most expected for Stone, but it is a fair return for sure.  Brannstrom is a top prospect with 28 points in 41 games in the AHL.  Great grab by Vegas and they don’t spend any of their own picks as the 2nd rounder is Dallas’.
  • Acquire F Mikael Granlund from in exchange for F Kevin Fiala.
    • Analysis: Nashville wins this trade Granlund was very underrated in Minnesota.  He has 49 points in 63 games this year.  The Wild do add some balance with Fiala, who has 32 points of his own this season.
  • Acquires D Oscar Fantenberg from in exchange for conditional 2020 4th rounder.
    • Anaylsis: Calgary adds to an already impressive D core.  They are gearing up for a run in the west.
  • Acquire F Derek Brassard and a conditional 6th round pick in 2020 from in exchange for a 2020 3rd round pick.
    • Analysis:  The Avs have been a one line team all season, they win and lost based on how that line performs.  Brassard adds depth with a potential scoring punch to their second line.
  • Acquire D Adam McQuaid from the in exchange for 2019 4th and 7th round picks.
    • Analysis: Defense market for rentals is low, but McQuaid is a serviceable bottom pair d man.  Columbus has pushed all their chips in the middle and are looking to make a deep run this spring.
  • Acquire center Jordan Weal from the in exchange for center Michael Chaput.
    • Analysis: Weal provides some depth in the face-off circle.  Was nearly 60% with the Flyers last year, just a hair under 50% this year.
  • Acquire F Kevin Hayes from in exchange for 2019 1st round pick F Brendan Lemieux and a conditional 4th round pick should the Jets win the Stanley Cup.
    • Analysis: Wow, this potentially pushes Brian Little to a 3rd line center role.  That is great depth and if this team can get Patrick Laine going, watch out!
  • Acquire G Keith Kinkaid from for 2022 5th Round Pick
    • Analysis: This is a pretty decent haul for a goalie with 3.36 GAA and .891 save percentage.
  • Acquire forward Gustav Nyquist from for 2019 second-round draft pick and 2020 conditional third-rounder
    • Analysis: Great depth pickup for Sharks who continue to be one of the more underrated contenders this year.  Next up for SJS should be goaltending.
  • Acquire forward Mats Zuccarello from for conditional 2019 second-round draft pick and conditional 2020 third-rounder
    • Analysis: Great pickup for Dallas, should help balance their scoring.  Rangers get some picks, let the selling begin in NYR.
